March is definitely roaring in the music room!   7th and 8th graders are enjoying improving or beginning their guitar playing skills.  6th grade is composing their first song in the computer lab on a newly added program, Finale Notepad.  The early part of the month was spent experiencing spirituals and patriotic music by all grade levels.  Now, rhythm has taken center stage and everyone is clapping and patting and counting to beat the band.  Oh, yes, and speaking of band, 2nd graders just refreshed their memories on what the difference is between a band and an orchestra and the 4th grade just enjoyed a trip to the Oregon Symphony.   We keep the party going in the parish library, that's for sure!
