Principal's Corner

Dear St. Clare families,

Welcome back! It’s exciting to have all the students and teachers back in the building. The students are busy organizing their supplies, learning new routines, getting to know new classmates and teachers, and jumping into academics. The halls are filled with smiling faces and laughter. It’s truly great to be back!

This year we have so much to be thankful for: our building is glowing from its summer makeover, our classrooms are filled with eager learners, our staff is truly dedicated to the spiritual and educational development of each and every child, and our wonderful families continue to support St. Clare in more ways than we can name.

This year, we are offering several opportunities for after-school enrichment. Drama club, Book Club/Battle of the Books, MUSE Band, Mad Science, 100 Mile Walking Club, and opportunities to become involved in math and speech competitions are available to those students who are interested.

No school year is complete without some traditional events. This fall, we look forward to a prayer service and blessing of our pets on the feast day of St. Francis, a rousing time at our annual Bingo Night, and a lively and fun-filled celebration during Spirit Week. Students, parents, and staff always enjoy sharing these special times together.

I must tell you that I am honored and humbled to be St. Clare’s principal and to be working with you, our parents, to make our school the best it can be. Together, we can continue our tradition of guiding our students to reach their fullest potential in the warm, compassionate community that is the essence of St. Clare School.

Please stop by my office to say hello. I am anxious to reconnect with those of you I’ve known for so long as well as to meet those of you I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting.

The school year is off to a wonderful start!  I look forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, and friendship.

With best wishes,

Debbi Monahan
