Meraki at St. Clare School

What is Meraki
Meraki was a company that provided products for large-scale, distributed wired and wireless networks. The company was started by two MIT PhD students, Sanjit Biswas and John Bicket, along with Hans Robertson. The company was based in part on the MIT Roofnet project and became part of Cisco Systems in December 2012.

Why we use Meraki
Unify management and control of thousands of mobile and desktop devices in the secure, browser-based Meraki dashboard. Drive your organization’s mobility initiatives by seamlessly onboarding new devices and automating application of security policies.

Not only does Meraki allow us to set security policies, we are able to push App's along with iBook's out to iPads, iPods, and Windows OS and Mac OS devices.  St. Clare purchases all Apps needed for school.   It is through Meraki we send these paid Apps and iBook’s to student’s devices.
